Welcome to the unique House of Hjelmseryd where you will find a christian guesthouse as well as a youth hostel centred around the beautiful romanesque church.
The guesthouse is in the old rectory.

 The warden of the house is a priest in the church of Sweden. We stress the connection with the Church through all ages, all over the world and in heaven.  

The church is from the 12^th century. Through the centuries it has been extended, abandoned and was for a period a ruin. But was restored in 1934 in original glory.
Eva Spångberg, reknowned amongst other things för her wood carvings, has provided the church with man beatiful artfacts, the most significant being the altar cross.
